The PTR 9CT – 9×19mm Pistol is the original, stand-alone compact pistol in the PTR MP5-pattern lineup. Sold at the point of sale without a stock or brace installed, the 9CT establishes the foundation for the 9CT family while retaining pistol classification. It is engineered to deliver reliable performance, modern mounting capability, and suppressor readiness in a compact format.

The platform operates using PTR’s proven roller-delayed blowback system, providing a smooth recoil impulse and consistent cycling. A nitride heat-treated, tungsten dead-blow weighted full-auto profile bolt carrier enhances durability and supports sustained operation. The semi-automatic action is host-ready for use with NFA-registered auto sear packs where legally applicable. The overall finish consists of black powder coating over Parkerizing for corrosion resistance and long-term wear protection.

The 9″ nitride heat-treated barrel features a 1:10″ right-hand twist and includes both a 3-lug interface and 1/2×28 threading, supporting suppressor compatibility and common mounting standards. A 4.5″ steel Picatinny rail allows flexible optic placement, while the mil-spec anodized aluminum M-LOK® handguard provides modern accessory mounting capability without compromising the platform’s balance.

Measuring approximately 17.6″ in overall length and weighing 5.05 lbs unloaded, the 9CT feeds from steel 30-round magazines and features a trigger pull set between 9–10 lbs for consistent operation. Each pistol ships in a heavy-duty range case with contoured foam insert and includes two magazines, a rear sight adjustment tool, a cable lock, and a single-point bungee sling.

Within the PTR lineup, the 9CT occupies the core compact pistol segment, serving as the baseline MP5-pattern pistol configuration from which braced and SBR variants are derived.
