The PTR 9B – 9×19mm Pistol is a factory-configured, roller-delayed platform engineered to deliver MP5-pattern performance in a pistol-only configuration. Sold at the point of sale without a stock or brace installed, the 9B maintains pistol classification while offering extended barrel length and suppressor-ready capability.

The platform operates using PTR’s proven roller-delayed blowback system, providing a smooth recoil impulse and reliable cycling. A nitride heat-treated, tungsten dead-blow weighted full-auto profile bolt carrier enhances durability and supports sustained operation. The semi-automatic action is host-ready for use with NFA-registered auto sear packs where legally applicable. The overall finish consists of Cerakote over Parkerizing for corrosion resistance and wear protection.

The 9″ nitride heat-treated barrel features a 1:10″ right-hand twist and includes both a 3-lug interface and 1/2×28 threading, supporting suppressor compatibility and common mounting standards. A traditional MP5-pattern claw-style optic mounting interface is retained, preserving legacy mounting options. The custom UTG handguard provides a functional forward grip surface while maintaining the platform’s classic profile.

Measuring approximately 17.6″ in overall length and weighing 5 lbs unloaded, the 9B feeds from steel 30-round magazines and features a trigger pull set between 9–10 lbs for consistent operation. Each pistol ships in a cardboard case and includes two magazines and a trigger cable lock.

Within the PTR lineup, the 9B occupies the pistol-only MP5-pattern segment, offering suppressor readiness, full-length barrel performance, and roller-delayed reliability without rear-mounted stabilization components.
