The PTR® 9SDM combines modern innovation with iconic style in an integrally suppressed variant of the proven PTR 9CT platform. Engineered for exceptionally quiet performance without sacrificing reliability or handling, the 9SDM pairs PTR’s roller-delayed blowback operating system with a purpose-built ported barrel, Universal SD Adapter, CS1 collapsible stock, and a choice of two advanced suppressor configurations.
The innovative 9SDM barrel features specially engineered ports positioned within the rifling grooves. These ports redirect gas to reduce supersonic ammunition to subsonic velocity while helping prevent bullet-jacket damage, minimize fouling, and simplify cleaning compared with traditional SD-style firearms.
Ported gas flows into PTR’s USDA (Universal SD Adapter), a pre-suppressor system designed to capture and slow high-pressure gas before it enters the selected suppressor. For increased modularity, the USDA supports both HUB Alpha and HUB Bravo suppressor thread patterns.
SUPPRESSOR OPTIONS
PTR VENT™ 2
The VENT 2 configuration uses a HUB Alpha 1.125-28 mounting interface. Although the VENT 2 was not originally developed specifically for the 9SDM, it delivers outstanding sound suppression and low back pressure while retaining compatibility with other supported firearms.
PTR VENT™ SDM
The purpose-built VENT SDM configuration uses a HUB Bravo 1.375-24 mounting interface. Designed specifically for the 9SDM platform, it is optimized to deliver maximum sound suppression while preserving the firearm’s balance, smooth recoil impulse, and compact handling characteristics.
Both suppressors are manufactured from 3D-printed titanium, incorporate PTR’s innovative Purposely Induced Porosity™ (PIP) technology, and feature a protective DLC coating.
The PTR 9SDM is built around a 6-inch barrel and features a 13.2-inch continuous steel Picatinny top rail for flexible optic placement. Additional equipment includes a removable aluminum M-LOK® forend, Magpul® MBUS Pro® steel front and rear sights, and an extended charging handle threaded to accept most Remington 700-pattern bolt knobs.
Available as a factory-configured 9×19mm short-barreled rifle with the PTR CS1 collapsible stock and the buyer’s choice of VENT 2 or VENT SDM suppressor, the PTR 9SDM delivers a complete, fully integrated suppressed platform with minimal setup.
