The PTR PDWR SBR FS – 7.62×51mm is a factory-configured short-barreled rifle engineered to deliver compact PDWR-format performance with fixed-stock stability. Sold at the point of sale as an SBR with a PTR fixed stock installed, this configuration prioritizes durability, balance, and rifle-caliber capability in a reduced-length platform.

The rifle operates using PTR’s proven roller-delayed blowback system, providing a smooth recoil impulse and consistent cycling with full-power 7.62×51mm ammunition. A heat-treated, full-auto profile bolt carrier supports long-term reliability and sustained operation. The semi-automatic action is host-ready for use with NFA-registered auto sear packs where legally applicable. The overall finish consists of black powder coating over Parkerizing for corrosion resistance and wear protection.

The 8.5″ stress-relieved, heavy-contour barrel features a 1:10″ right-hand twist and is threaded 5/8×24, supporting common muzzle devices. An extended 6.9″ steel Picatinny rail provides flexible optic placement, while the PTR HG3M mil-spec anodized aluminum M-LOK® handguard supports modern accessory mounting without compromising the platform’s compact footprint.

Measuring approximately 31″ in overall length and weighing 8.25 lbs unloaded, the PDWR SBR FS feeds from 20-round aluminum magazines and features a trigger pull set between 9–10 lbs for consistent operation. Each rifle ships in a polymer case with foam padding and includes one magazine and a trigger cable lock.
