The PTR A3SK – 7.62×51mm Rifle is a compact, semi-automatic rifle engineered to deliver roller-delayed performance with the same enhanced feature set found on the A3S platform, adapted to a shorter barrel length. Built around PTR’s proven roller-delayed blowback operating system, the A3SK provides smooth recoil characteristics and consistent cycling. The semi-automatic action is host-ready for use with NFA-registered auto sear packs where legally applicable.

The rifle is centered around a 16.35″ stress-relieved, tapered contour barrel with a 1:10″ right-hand twist. The barrel is threaded 5/8×24, supporting a wide variety of muzzle devices and suppressors. A welded 7.5″ steel Picatinny rail is integrated onto the receiver, allowing direct mounting of modern optics without the need for high-offset scope adapters.

A heat-treated full-auto profile bolt carrier supports durability and long-term reliability. The overall finish consists of a tough powder coat applied over Parkerizing, providing enhanced corrosion resistance and wear protection. A slim-line polymer handguard completes the forward profile, offering a comfortable and functional grip surface.

Measuring approximately 38.5″ in overall length and weighing 9.3 lbs unloaded, the PTR A3SK balances compact handling with full-power rifle capability. The trigger pull is set between 9–10 lbs for consistent operation. Each rifle ships in a polymer case with foam padding and includes one original surplus aluminum magazine rated Good or better, along with a cable lock. The PTR A3SK is available in standard, California-compliant, and Vermont-compliant configurations.

Within the PTR lineup, the A3SK occupies the compact enhanced .308 rifle segment, offering roller-delayed reliability, integrated optics support, and suppressor-ready barrel threading in a shorter, more maneuverable platform.
