Modern Mounting in a Compact Footprint

The HG1 is the shortest member of PTR’s M-LOK® handguard family, giving compact PTR 9mm platforms a modern accessory interface without surrounding the front end with unnecessary material. Three M-LOK® attachment points provide dedicated mounting capability within a handguard that weighs only 2.5 oz. That combination makes the HG1 particularly well suited to firearms where keeping the front end compact is part of the platform’s appeal.

Lightweight Aluminum Construction

Aluminum construction provides a rigid interface for mounted equipment while maintaining a very low overall weight. At approximately 1.57 inches in diameter, the HG1 also keeps the gripping surface narrow rather than introducing the bulk associated with larger rail systems. A mil-spec anodized finish protects the aluminum exterior against routine handling and wear.

Built for PTR’s Compact 9mm Platforms

The HG1 occupies a distinct position within the PTR handguard lineup: HG3 provides additional length for full-size 9mm and compact PDW configurations, while the HG1 preserves the abbreviated front-end geometry of PTR’s shortest 9mm platforms. PTR catalog and current 9RS documentation identify the HG1 with the 9KT and 9RS platform family.
