The PTR HG7 M-LOK® Handguard is the full-length option in PTR’s aluminum handguard family, providing an 11.66-inch support and accessory-mounting surface for larger rifle platforms. Despite its length, the HG7 weighs 9.1 oz and maintains the same slim 1.58-inch diameter used by the HG5. M-LOK® mounting positions run along the handguard for flexible accessory placement, while its free-floating architecture keeps the handguard from applying direct pressure to the barrel. The HG7 is designed for the PTR 32KFR, GIRK, GI, GIR, and A3S.

Full-Length PTR Handguard Configuration
At 11.66 inches, the HG7 is the longest of the four handguards in PTR’s current HG series. It is compatible with the PTR 32KFR, GIRK, GI, GIR, and A3S, placing it primarily within the longer rifle side of the PTR platform family.
Extended M-LOK Interface
Seven M-LOK-compatible attachment points are incorporated into the HG7. Combined with its longer overall profile, the interface provides mounting positions across a larger forward area than PTR’s compact HG1 and HG3 handguards.
Aluminum Construction for the Longer Platform
The HG7 uses aluminum construction, measures 1.58 inches in diameter, and weighs 9.1 ounces. A mil-spec anodized finish provides the exterior surface treatment. The additional weight relative to the HG5 corresponds with the HG7’s longer 11.66-inch body rather than representing an unrelated design difference.
Clearly Differentiated Within the HG Series
The HG7 is not simply another M-LOK handguard with a different model number. Its length and compatibility establish its role within the product family: HG1 serves the compact 9KT, HG3 covers several shorter PTR configurations, HG5 serves the K3P and 32K, and HG7 extends the architecture to the 32KFR, GIRK, GI, GIR, and A3S. That platform-specific differentiation makes the reason for each HG configuration clear without requiring the customer to compare specification tables manually.
