The PTR K3P – 7.62×51mm Pistol is a factory-configured roller-delayed platform engineered to deliver compact rifle-caliber performance while retaining pistol classification at the point of sale. Chambered in .308 Win. (7.62×51mm), the K3P combines extended barrel length with PTR’s proven operating system to provide consistent performance in a reduced-length format.

The pistol operates using PTR’s roller-delayed blowback system, offering smooth recoil impulse and controlled bolt movement compared to traditional gas-operated designs. A heat-treated, full-auto profile bolt carrier supports long-term durability and reliable cycling. The semi-automatic action is host-ready for use with NFA-registered auto sear packs where legally applicable. The overall finish consists of Parkerizing for corrosion resistance and wear protection.

The 12.5″ stress-relieved, tapered-contour barrel features a 1:10″ right-hand twist and is threaded 5/8×24, supporting common muzzle devices. A 7.5″ steel Picatinny rail provides a stable mounting surface for optics, while the PTR HG5 mil-spec anodized aluminum M-LOK® handguard allows flexible accessory attachment without compromising balance.

Measuring approximately 28″ in overall length and weighing 8.7 lbs unloaded, the K3P feeds from 20-round aluminum magazines and features a trigger pull set between 9–10 lbs for consistent operation. Each K3P ships in a polymer case with foam padding and includes one magazine and a trigger cable lock.

Within the PTR lineup, the K3P represents the base pistol configuration in 7.62×51mm—serving as the foundation for braced and SBR variants while delivering full-power cartridge performance in a factory pistol format.
