The PTR 9SDM-A is a factory-configured, semi-automatic 9×19mm short-barreled rifle that combines a roller-delayed operating system, collapsible stock, and an included suppressor into a single integrated platform. Sold as an SBR with the PTR CS1 collapsible stock and VENT™ 2 suppressor installed, it delivers a compact, suppressor-ready MP5-pattern configuration straight from the factory.

Designed around a 6” barrel and an extended continuous top rail, the 9SDM-A emphasizes suppressed performance, optic flexibility, and accessory support. It is purpose-built for users who require a complete suppressed SBR system with minimal setup and maximum functional integration.

The PTR® 9SDM A combines modern innovation with iconic style. This integrally suppressed variant of the PTR 9CT is engineered for exceptionally quiet performance without sacrificing reliability or handling. The 9SDM A combines the proven roller-delayed blowback system with a purpose-built suppressor and ported barrel, creating a compact platform optimized for peak sound suppression and control.

The innovative design of the 9SDM A features specially engineered slots in the barrel’s rifling grooves to port off gas, reducing supersonic bullet velocity to subsonic. This design also prevents bullet-jacket damage, minimizes fouling, and allows far easier cleaning than traditional SD firearms. The ported gas flows into the 9SDM’s pre-suppressor, which PTR calls the USDA (Universal SD Adapter). The USDA is designed to capture and slow high-pressure ported gas before it enters the suppressor. For increased modularity, the USDA is threaded to accept both HUB Alpha and HUB Bravo suppressor thread patterns.

The 9SDM-A will come with the award-winning PTR VENT 2 suppressor (threaded HUB-A 1.125-28). Although the VENT 2 was not originally engineered for the 9SDM, its performance is outstanding and delivers exceptional sound suppression on the 9SDM and other compatible firearms. The VENT 2 is manufactured using 3D-printed titanium, utilize innovative Purposely Induced Porosity™ (PIP) technology, and are protected by a DLC coating. Both the VENT SDM and VENT 2 suppressors excel at reducing sound signature and back pressure while preserving the balance and smooth recoil of the 9SDM.

The platform also features a full-length Picatinny rail, Removable M-Lok® forend, metal MagPul® backup sights, and an extended charging handle (threaded to accept most Remington 700 pattern bolt knobs). The 9SDM represents the next evolution of the SD platform, engineered for shooters who demand the highest level of performance without compromise
